MILAN - Generali reinforces its position among global sustainability leaders with renewed recognition from the world’s most influential ESG benchmarks. The Group has secured inclusion in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class indices for the eighth consecutive year, underscoring consistent long-term performance. At the same time, it retains its prestigious AAA rating from MSCI ESG Ratings, reflecting strong resilience to sustainability risks. These achievements confirm Generali's deep integration of ESG principles across strategy, governance, and operations. Together, they highlight the insurer's growing influence in shaping responsible global finance.

International recognition


Generali confirms its sustainability leadership with inclusion in the Dow Jones Best-In-Class indices and ‘AAA’ ESG rating from MSCI. Generali reaffirms its leadership among global sustainability leaders, being confirmed for the eighth consecutive year in the Dow Jones Best‐in‐Class World Index and for the seventh consecutive year in the Dow Jones Best‐in‐Class Europe Index, formerly known as Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI). This recognition highlights the Group’s distinctive approach in terms of credible sustainability performance embedded into governance, strategy, risk management, and operational decision-making.

MSCI ESG assessment


In addition, Generali’s sustainability commitment has once again been recognised by MSCI ESG Ratings, which measure companies’ resilience to sustainability risks and opportunities. The MSCI analysis, which involves over 17,000 companies globally, has confirmed the “AAA” ESG rating that the Group has held since 2022, including Generali as one of the “Leader companies.
